How to Make Apple Dump Cake

This is the dessert I turn to when my sweet tooth is calling, but I’m not in the mood for critical baking! You just dump, sprinkle, butter, and bake! You can also make my peach dump cake for a unique twist!

  1. Prep: Preheat the oven to 350°F, then spray a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Spread the apple fruit filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  2. Dry Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine yellow cake mix, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
  3. Cake Mix: Sprinkle the cake mixture evenly over the apple pie filling.
  4. Butter & Bake: Place pieces of salted butter on top of the cake mixture, then bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve the apple dump cake warm with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
