Bay FC Rolls Out New Primary Kit For Second Season in NWSL – SportsLogos.Net News

Bay FC — the National Women’s Soccer League franchise based in San Francisco Bay Area — is getting ready for their second season in the league with the release of their new primary kits.

The team unveiled the jerseys, manufactured by Nike, on their website and social media channels on Monday, February 3. They feature a deep navy blue — or “obsidian,” as the club calls it — base that “stands with strength and confidence” with poppy red accents that “represent a bold and fierce energy.”

Nine tonal lines representing the nine counties that make up the Bay Area weave together down the jersey. These lines have “subtle variations in color and texture symbolizing the region’s varied landscapes – from its rolling fog to its steadfast waters,” according to the club. “These lines flow together, symbolizing the power that comes from embracing our diverse identities and backgrounds.

“Altogether, the design captures the essence of the Bay Area: unique identities intertwined to foster progress, spark change and build strength — as a team, as a community, as Bay FC.”

The club crest sits in the middle of chest, above the Nike swoosh and the logo of sponsor Sutter Health, both in poppy red. Poppy trim also appears on the collar and sleeve cuffs.

“These kits are meant to capture the essence of the Bay Area and are created to represent the nine counties we are so proud to play for,” said Bay FC CEO Brady Stewart. “Coming off one of the most successful expansion seasons in league history and becoming the winningest expansion team, we know fans will be excited to wear these new kits with pride and a sense of togetherness.” 

The back of the shirt features player names and numbers in poppy red, while sponsor logos on the back collar and below the numbers are white.

Home kits will be available to purchase in late February. A secondary kit will be released at a later date.

Bay FC kicks off their preseason schedule on Sunday, February 16, with a match against Seattle Reign FC at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Their 2025 NWSL regular season gets underway on Saturday, March 15, with a visit to America First Field in Sandy, Utah, to take on Utah Royals FC. Their home opener at PayPal Park in San Jose takes place the following Saturday against Racing Louisville.
