German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are marking 20 years in their home stadium with their new away kit for 2025-26, made by Adidas.
The club—which wrapped up its 34th Bundesliga championship over the weekend—unveiled the new kits on their website and social media platforms on Monday, May 5. It’s a tribute to the Allianz Arena, which has been Bayern’s home since the start of the 2005-06 season, and is inspired by the early morning views of the Bavarian Alps from the stadium site.
The design combines modernity with history and links the past with the future. In an elegant colour combination of white, grey and bright coral, it signals a spirit of optimism and at the same time pays tribute to the unique home of Germany’s biggest football club, a landmark of international football that has been the home of FC Bayern since 2005, with an iconic rendering of the outer shell of the Allianz Arena.
The white base of the jersey has horizontal lines of varying lengths and varying shades of grey and coral to make up the alpine landscape on the front and sleeves. The Adidas shoulder stripes are dark grey, while coral piping runs up the sides and around the collar. The Allianz Arena itself can be seen on the front of the shirt, just under the club crest, which is rendered in grey and white.
The sleeve cuffs are coral and have “FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN” woven into the fabric. On the back is a solid white panel for name and number legibility; numbers will be coral with grey details and names underneath will be grey. The Allianz Arena logo appears on the back collar.
Bayern Munich will wear the new kits for the first time at the stadium they honour when they host Borussia Mönchengladbach for their last home game of the 2024-25 Bundesliga season on Saturday, May 10. Some Bayern supporters may not be happy with that move, though. In the past, fans have protested when Bayern has worn away kits at home, raising banners declaring “DIE CLUBFARBEN SIND UNANTASTBAR” (“The Club Colours are Sacrosanct,” according to Google Translate).
Saturday’s game will also be club legend Thomas Müller’s last match at the Allianz Arena, having played for Bayern since he was 10 years old—a total of 25 years. The club is offering fans a special number print on the back of the jersey to honour Müller.
