Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO are divorcing, but it doesn’t mean their IVF journey is coming to an end. Bunnie confirms on her Dumb Blonde podcast that she still plans to co-parent with Jelly Roll. “We’re literally settling our divorce in like… We’ve done it in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?” she explained. “We’re still having a baby together.” She said they lost four embryos, and they’ve done three transfers, but lost two of those twins in the process. “It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically,” she said of the losses. “In a way, I kind of think J and I are trauma-bonded.”
Even though the divorce is almost finalized, Bunnie says it was not a mutual divorce. The two got into a bad fight on Mother’s Day and she told him to file the “fucking divorce papers” to which he did. But she said that she only said that during their fight. She explained, “It was not mutual. Even though I told him to file the divorce papers, I was speaking out of anger and frustration. But was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely.”
Bunnie then shared that there’s no bad blood between her and the country rapper and that they remain close. “So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered,” she added. “We’re going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn’t what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.” Bunnie also confirmed that Jelly Roll has started dating other people but she has decided to take a break from relationships.
