Caffeine Tracker Alyx Uses Visual Lookup to Easily Log Your Intake

One of the best ways to use the app is with Visual Lookup. Just take a picture of a caffeinated beverage and then hit the icon. The app will analyze the image and provide results of what matches, each with a specific amount of caffeine. You can then quickly log it in the app.

Interactive widgets also allow you to see how much caffeine you’ve had without needing to open up the app.

With on-device AI, you can also use the app to describe a drink and then see how much caffeine it contains.

Fans of Shortcuts will be happy to hear that everything you can do in Alyx, you can also do in Shortcuts. There are more than 50 actions available to tap.

Tapping new alarm functionality, the app also features a caffeine Last Call that will tell you when you can have that last sip to still get a good night’s sleep. It uses the last two weeks of sleep data, the quality of sleep, and how much caffeine you’ve had daily.

Alyx is a free download now on the App Store just for the iPhone.

There is an optional subscription available for $1.99 per month, $9.99 annually, or $24.99 for the lifetime of the app. There is a free, seven-day trial for the annual plan.

Subscribers can unlock all charts, widgets, sleep forecasts, caffeine at bedtime calculations, and more.
