Live From the Blue Seats is back as Dave and Rob discuss the flurry of activity this week from the Rangers. K’Andre Miller is out, traded for Scott Morrow, 2026 1st and 2nd round picks, and the cap space to land Vlad Gavrikov. The two big moves shifted the Rangers from blue line mess to a great top pair and decent enough bottom two pairs with a great coach. Chris Drury’s plan is coming to light, as it seems clear he is aiming for competing this coming season, at the very least expecting to make the playoffs.
Chris Drury’s plan revolves around him finally having a roster that he wants, not one that Jeff Gorton built. It will take a few years to see how this plays out, but it is, without a doubt, his team now. For better or for worse.
