Kids need coping skills to manage stress, frustration, disappointment, and other big emotions in healthy ways. These strategies help children calm their bodies, express their feelings, solve problems, and regain focus. With practice, coping skills build resilience, confidence, and independence, giving kids tools they can use in the classroom, at home, and throughout their lives.
That’s why we created these colorful Coping Strategies posters for the classroom. They give students access to simple skills that will help them take a pause and regroup before reacting. Post them at your morning circle space or calm-down corner or print them out and give one to each student to keep at their desk. Share them with families, too, so they can practice the same strategies at home.
