Every Trailer From SDCC 2026: Rings of Power, Ebenezer

San Diego Comic-Con has kicked off, and new teasers and trailers will not be locked away in the convention-center halls. On the first official day of the con, SDCC gave us reimaginings of classic tales. We have an all-new Avatar and a new rendition of A Christmas Carol to look forward to. Day two saw deliveries from Prime Video like the new Blade Runner series and season three of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Everyone’s back, including Marvel, so more trailers are on the way.

Lanterns answers David Bowie’s eternal question: is there life on Mars? Seems like maybe there isn’t anymore, but there dang well used to be. We got new details on the DC Universe’s take on True Detective, which will see Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) tracking a Martian Manhunter. We also got a release date: August 16 on HBO Max.

After two years of waiting, we got the first teaser for Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. It’s looking both lush and epic, and we get Ringwraiths. Now LOTR stans can stop commenting “Bring back Rings of Power!” on every The Summer I Turned Pretty TikTok.

Jules had a comparatively easy time of it in on Euphoria season three, but now it’s time for Hunter Schafer to get some stuntwork in. At the Blade Runner 2099 panel, Michelle Yeoh said she got a helmet for Schafer after the younger actress got a concussion doing her own stunts. We haven’t seen Schafer this battle damaged since Cuckoo.

Christopher Nolan isn’t the only one thinking about Greek mythology. A new season of Percy Jackson is coming to Disney+ on November 20, and he’s got the whole world in his hands — or at least just the sky.

A new avatar is upon us. In the official teaser for Avatar: Seven Havens, a new series from Paramount+, we meet a young earthbender who enters a post-Korra world that doesn’t welcome the avatar. She and her long-lost twin must rebuild the lost trust and save the Seven Havens. Out on October 9.

A tale as old as time. In the first trailer, Ebenezer Scrooge haunts London as Paramount reminds us of Johnny Depp’s most transformative roles like Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, and the Mad Hatter. No love for Willy Wonka, huh? It seems like the film follows the typical Christmas Carol story: Scrooge is a mean old man who gets visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. In theaters November 13.
