Harlem Globetrotters Reveal Logo For 100th Anniversary In 2026 – SportsLogos.Net News

The World-Famous Harlem Globetrotters revealed a new logo last week that commemorates their 100th anniversary, which will be highlighted by a world tour that tips off in January 2026.

The roundel logo, which was designed by Matt Lehman Studio, prominently displays the No. 100 at the center, with the Globetrotters’ iconic red, white and blue ball integrated into the number.

There are five gold stars above the No. 100, symbolizing the Globetrotters’ original five members: Walter “Toots” Wright, Byron “Fat” Long, Willis “Kid” Oliver, Andy Washington and Al “Runt” Pulling.

The team name, which is written in a block font that harkens back to their original uniforms, wraps around the logo, which is complete with the dates for the team’s founding (1926) and next season (2026).

“We wanted to find the balance of past, present and future in a fresh new look that was both unique and exciting, whilst playing homage to the many men and women players that have honoured us as Globetrotters,” team president Keith Dawkins said.

“We believe this centennial logo delivers on all fronts (and) will connect all of the consumer touch points centered around our 100 year anniversary plans. It’s a unifying principle that helps to bring this historic moment to life.”

Since their founding, the Globetrotters have showcased their iconic brand and unique style of basketball in 124 countries and territories against their rivals, the Washington Generals.

The Generals have played under several aliases in that time, including the Boston Shamrocks, New Jersey Reds, Baltimore Rockets, Atlantic City Seagulls, New York Nationals, International Elite, Global Select and World All-Stars.
