Here’s your first look at Google’s next fitness tracker, the Fitbit Edge

Back in August, Google Australia accidentally revealed an upcoming Fitbit device in official promo images during the Pixel 11 series launch. Now, a new report has revealed the design and key features of the product, which is said to be called the Fitbit Edge.

The report claims that Google will unveil the Fitbit Edge later this month, positioning it between the Fitbit Air and Pixel Watch 5.

According to the report, the Fitbit Edge will succeed the Fitbit Charge and feature an oval touchscreen, GPS, and up to 7 days of battery life.

It will also offer limited app support for apps such as YouTube Music and Google Maps.

The Fitbit Edge is said to be available in five color options, including three shades that will match the Google Pixel 11 Pro series.

The fitness tracker is reportedly expected to cost between $149 and $199.

While its display will offer less functionality than the Pixel Watch, the Fitbit Edge will still show notifications.

The fitness tracker is also said to offer precise GPS tracking, automatic activity recognition, and elevation tracking.

Leaked images of the Fitbit Edge show a button on the right side and a sensor array on the rear that looks to be slightly more advanced than the sensors available on the Fitbit Air. It also seems to have a pinch system for swapping bands.

A promotional image also reveals that Google’s upcoming Fitbit fitness tracker will work with both Android and iOS.
