After nearly 20 years of using a standardized logo, the NFL has slowly started to incorporating unique features into the logo for its annual draft.
This year’s draft will be held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on April 24-26, and the logo for the event appropriately pulls inspiration from its host, the Packers.
The logo features a shield-like shape with “Draft” prominently displayed across the middle with the NFL logo at the top and the year at the bottom, just like it has since 2004.
But rather than using various shades of blue from the league’s in-house style guide, the logo now includes a green background reminiscent of the wall at Lambeau Field accompanied by shades of gold.
The league started to break away from the standardized look in 2023, as it used red paint strokes in the logo to match the host Kansas City Chiefs followed by a blue gradient design in 2024 to match the host Detroit Lions.
Next year’s draft will be held in Pittsburgh, home of the Steelers, while future draft locations beyond 2026 are not yet decided. They are typically announced at the NFL owners meetings in May.
