The Rangers 2024-25 season stunk. Plain and simple. But there were enough fun and, dare I say, good moments that there was enough to make two posts about moments that weren’t absolutely soul crushing and brutal. Despite the doom and gloom around the Rangers, we should still be able to take a step back and recognize some things that were good about last season.
Newly-acquired J.T. Miller scores in his first game since being traded from the Canucks, beginning his second stint with the New York Rangers in style.
After being down 2-1, the Rangers stormed back to win the game 4-2 off the backs of Mika Zibanejad, J.T. Miller, Artemi Panarin, and K’Andre Miller to finally help Jonathan Quick clinch his 400th career win, making him the ONLY American-born goaltender to reach that milestone!
After a dismal loss to Buffalo coming out of the 4 Nations Face-Off break, the Rangers win their second in a row, this time against the rival New York Islanders at UBS Arena. Jonny Brodzinski would score two goals, adding help from Matt Rempe, Urho Vaakanainen, and J.T. Miller (who had 5 goals with NY since the trade) to leave Belmont with a 5-1 victory.
For the first time since March 5th, 2014, the Rangers scored two shorthanded goals on the same penalty kill against the Columbus Blue Jackets. This was electric until you see the final score. Still a fun moment.
