NHL Playoffs Open Thread: Sabres, Ducks go for the win

The Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks are both going for the series win tonight, looking to close out the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers in Game 5. The Ducks are the surprising team, having built a 3-1 lead over the defending Western Conference champions, and are looking to end that reign on the road. The Sabres, winners of the Atlantic Division, will have their home crowd that is starving for a series win supporting them in Buffalo.

Dallas and Minnesota, two teams that probably shouldn’t have faced each other in the first round, return to Dallas for a pivotal Game 5.

There are four games on the schedule tonight:

  • Bruins @ Sabres (Game 5, Buffalo leads series 3-1)
  • Wild @ Stars (Game 5, series tied 2-2)
  • Ducks @ Oilers (Game 5, Anaheim leads series 3-1)

Use this thread to discuss the games. Keep it civil please. We are all adults, remember that.
