The New York Rangers are in Sunrise to take on the Florida Panthers C team as both try to jockey for improved draft lottery odds. Calgary holds the regulation wins tiebreaker on the Rangers for 29th, which means a tie in points goes to the Flames and the Rangers would stick to 30th. A 30th place finish guarantees a top-5 pick. A 29th place finish guarantees a top-6 pick.
