The Rangers and Devils close out their preseason back to back tonight at MSG, but the rosters will look pretty different. Last night’s game was essentially a prospect’s game for both teams, but tonight the Rangers will dress a good amount of NHLers. Most of the Devils are still in Czechia, so it’s expected that the Devils will still be without most of their NHL talent, so tonight could get lopsided quickly.
There are two notes with the lineup tonight. The first is Brennan Othmann getting his fifth preseason game, which is exceedingly rare. The second is both he and Brett Berard are on the fourth line with Bo Groulx, who will be in Hartford before the season starts. This does not bode well for either breaking camp with the Rangers, but to be fair, neither have impressed throughout the preseason.
The Devils didn’t post their lines or lineup anywhere.
Game time is 7pm.
