Olivia Rodrigo brought out rock royalty throughout the GUTS tour, so it’s about time one of those legends joined her on the album. During her surprise Primavera Sound performance on Saturday, Rodrigo debuted a new song from her upcoming album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” and it’s her first album track with another artist. “What’s Wrong with Me,” the tenth track on the album, features Robert Smith, and he joined Rodrigo to perform the song in Barcelona. “I feel like I’m gonna cry… I can’t believe that that’s a thing that happened in the real world and not just a figment of my imagination,” Rodrigo said at the end of the performance. She previously name-dropped Smith’s song “Just Like Heaven” on her first single, “Drop Dead.”
Understandably, the song follows Rodrigo as she realizes that her relationship is what’s wrong with her life. “My head is spinning, and my stomach is sick/ Say I’m in love, so it’s hard to admit/ I can’t eat, I can’t sleep/ I think you’re what’s wrong with me,” she sings in the chorus. At least she figured out what the cure was.
