A year after introducing new 1970s-inspired red and white jerseys, the Quebec Remparts are back in black with a new third jersey.
The Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League team launched the new jerseys on their website and social media channels on Friday, September 13. They have a modern look than the Remparts’ other jersey options, which are devoid of black save for the logo on the chest.
The same black castle tower/lowercase R logo with white and red outlines sits on the front of the new black third jersey, and the team’s full roundel logo sits on both shoulders. The sleeves feature a broad red stripe running around them, with a narrower white stripe above. The same stripes run around the waist, with the red extending all the way down to the hem.
Names and numbers on the back and sleeves are white with red outlines. The collar is red with a black insert at the front. An LMJHQ patch sits on the right chest, while the logo of manufacturer CCM is on the left chest.
The video posted on social media by the Remparts shows the jersey paired with a black helmet, black gloves, black pants and black socks with the same striping pattern as the jersey.
The Remparts will wear the new black third jersey for their first two home games of the 2024-25 QMJHL season on Friday, September 20, against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens and on Saturday, September 21, against the Victoriaville Tigres. They’ll also wear them every Friday during the regular season.
