Rangers 2025 NHL Draft summary

The 2025 NHL Draft has come and gone. The Blueshirts made 8 total picks through rounds 2-7, doubling up on picks in the third and sixth rounds. If we were to use one word to describe the Rangers 2025 NHL Draft summary, it’s size. The Rangers went size over skill, especially in the later rounds, which isn’t overly surprising as the Blueshirts looked to build their system out with bigger bodies.

That doesn’t mean the Rangers didn’t draft skill, as they made two excellent skill picks in the second and fourth rounds. None of the players selected are going to hit the NHL in the next 3 years, so there’s a ton of room to grow.
