Mere hours ago, Redmi confirmed some of the upcoming Turbo 5’s specs, and now the phone has surfaced in a hands-on video over in China, where it’s showcased from all angles.
Its design is similar to that of its predecessor, but the back allegedly has a better texture and the whole thing just looks more sophisticated, whatever that’s supposed to mean. The Turbo 5 has a metal frame, a 6.59″ screen, and a 7,560 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 27W reverse wired charging.
It’s IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certified for dust and water resistance. Redmi seems to be preparing to offer five colorways for the Turbo 5. The phone is powered by the Dimensity 8500 SoC, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
The Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max are scheduled to be fully unveiled in China on January 29, in less than 24 hours. Stay tuned for our announcement coverage.
