Sacramento Kings Officially Unveil 2024-25 Classic Edition Uniforms, 40th Season Logo – SportsLogos.Net News

Although they were leaked earlier this month by former point guard Mike Bibby, the Sacramento Kings officially unveiled their 2024-25 Classic Edition uniforms, as well as a commemorative logo celebrating their 40th season in Sacramento, on Monday morning.

The purple uniforms are almost identical to what Bibby wore with the franchise from 2002-08, with an arched “Sacramento” wordmark above off-center numbers and black and white side panels on the jerseys and shorts, which have their 1994-2014 secondary logo on the right leg.

The only differences are the crown logo on the waistband, which previously appeared above the nameplate, and the vintage Nike marks, as Reebok and adidas were the league’s official outfitters when these were worn and didn’t put their marks on the uniforms.

The Kings last wore Classic Edition uniforms in 2019-20, when they celebrated their 35th anniversary with royal blue uniforms that featured a white script wordmark outlined in red, matching what the franchise wore on the road from 1990-94.

They also donned 1986-90 Hardwood Classic uniforms in 2015-17 and a 1994-2002-inspired City Edition set in 2021-22, while their current Statement set is inspired by their 1994-97 alternate uniforms, which featured a split design with checkmarks.

Sacramento will wear the new Classic Edition uniforms eight times this season, including against the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 24, Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 25, Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 19 and 21, Indiana Pacers on Dec. 22, Washington Wizards on Jan. 19, Golden State Warriors on Jan. 22 and Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 24.

As for the aforementioned 40th season logo, which was appropriately reveled on 916 Day, it combines the Kings’ purple, black and gray color scheme that’s been in use since 1994-95 with the ball and secondary crown logo from their 2016-17 rebrand.

It’s unclear if the patch will be worn on their uniforms, though it’s unlikely as they didn’t wear a patch for their 35th season in Sacramento in 2019-20 or their 100th anniversary in 2023-24. They’ll likely include it on their regular and throwback courts, however.
