Summer Release 2025

At MyFitnessPal, we’re always rooting for you—and this summer’s release delivers new ways to cheer you on while making food logging faster, easier, and more fun. It’s all about helping you stay on track with less effort and more positive momentum. From lightning-fast food logging to new ways to celebrate your progress, the latest updates make building healthy habits easier (and more rewarding) than ever.

Easier Food Logging

We’ve redesigned the food search experience to make logging more intuitive. The updated interface is sleek, modern, and puts all your logging options—like scanning barcodes, using voice entry, or searching manually—right where you need them. Find what you’re looking for quickly and log your way, with less scrolling and more flexibility.

Improved Meal Scan

Premium and Premium + users can now take advantage of an even smarter, more flexible Meal Scan experience. Use your phone’s camera to scan your food in real time. It’s easier than ever to keep your food diary up to date—on your terms.

Sneak Peek: Coming soon, you’ll be able to log a meal just by uploading a photo later. Whether you’re dining out or just want to stay present at the table, you will be able to snap a quick pic and log when it’s more convenient.

Personalized Meal Plans (Premium+)

Healthy eating just got easier—and tastier. With Meal Planner, Premium+ users can access customized, balanced meal plans that help you hit your calorie and macro goals without the guesswork.

Explore 1,500+ delicious recipes from a variety of cuisines and dietary preferences. Create automated grocery lists to simplify your shopping, reduce food waste, and save time and money. Whether you’re eating on a budget or trying to boost your protein intake, MyFitnessPal’s Meal Planner tool has you covered.

Featured Partnership: Acclaimed actress, author, and mom Sarah Michelle Gellar uses Meal Planner to fuel her busy life. From juggling multiple TV projects to parenting and everything in between, she relies on the tool to simplify shopping, reduce waste, and build meals that support her goals—like eating more protein and building strength.

Celebrating Healthy Habits

We’ve introduced more ways to support and celebrate the small wins that keep you moving toward your goals. These new features are designed to help you stay motivated and feel good about the healthy habits you’re building.

First Food Logged Celebration

Logging your first food entry is a meaningful step—it means you’re on your way to forming a new habit. That’s worth celebrating!

Meal Reminders, Reimagined

Get friendly, encouraging notifications personalized to the meal you haven’t logged yet. They’re designed to help you stay on track—without the nag.

Streaks

Ever wonder how consistent you’ve been? With our new streak counter, you can track how many days in a row you’ve logged meals. It’s a simple but powerful way to stay accountable and see your progress over time.
