We snagged seats at the kitchen table and were snacking on potato chips, when our friend launched into a great parenting story. “After a long day with my kids, I desperately needed a few minutes of alone time,” she told us. “I decided to take a shower and told my six-year-old twins to play together in my bedroom. I looked them in the eyes and said, ‘Come get me ONLY if it’s an emergency.’”
Two minutes later — you guessed it — our friend heard loud knocking on the bathroom door. “Mom!!!!” her daughter shouted. “I need to tell you something!!!!!!” She kept banging until her mom got out of the shower, naked and dripping, and cracked the door.
“MOM,” said her daughter, her eyes wide.
“Yes?!”
“Two Pomeranians survived the Titanic.”

Oh my gosh, at that kitchen table, Freddie and I could not stop laughing. Sometimes you just really need to share a cool fact. Bonus: it was true!
