After their red 40th anniversary jersey from last season proved popular, the Western Hockey League’s Moose Jaw Warriors are keeping the color in their wardrobe going forward.
The Warriors unveiled a new “ruby red” third jersey on their website and social media channels last week, and debuted it on the ice on Friday, September 27, when they hosted the Regina Pats.
The red third jersey follows the same striping pattern as their black home and white away jerseys. The shoulders and collar are black, with white laces in the collar, and white and black stripes run around the waist and sleeves.
Both the names and numbers on the jersey are white with black outlines. The jersey is paired with black pants, gloves and helmets. The socks are red with the same stripes as the sleeves.
The Warriors’ 40th anniversary jersey was also red, but had black stripes all the way down the arms to mimic the jerseys they wore during their first season in Moose Jaw in 1984-85. “WARRIORS” was spelled out diagonally across the front of the jersey in a modern font, and a black stripe with white outlines ran around the waist.
The Warriors will wear the new third jersey for select games throughout the 2024-25 WHL regular season. It’s only available for fans to purchase at the Crushed Can Retail Store, located in the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
