Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Turbo 4 smartphone in January, and now it is gearing up for a new launch this week. The company confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will officially arrive on Thursday, April 24.
Redmi already has a themed landing page on its website, where we saw the phone will look a lot like its non-Pro sibling.
We know the phone will be among the first devices with the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 premium chipset. The overall design of two cameras on the back and a flat panel with thin bezels at the front will be kept the same, with minor differences in colors.
The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro appeared at China Telecom with its full specs, revealing a unique feature—a humongous battery. If the listing is correct, and it usually is, the new phone will have a 7,550 mAh battery. Such capacity would be record-breaking for Xiaomi, as there hasn’t been a phone with such a battery; the next best thing is the regular Turbo 4 with a 6,550 mAh beast.
Other expected specs are a 50 MP + 8 MP dual camera, 6.83” AMOLED with 1220p resolution and a durable body, that is IP66 + IP68 + IP69-certified. The listed price at China Telecom was CNY 2,099 (about $290/€250), and we have to wait three days to learn whether it is the real deal.
