Did Tom Brady slap Logan Paul? Did Will Smith slap Chris Rock? Why are all these adult men slapping each other around? Last night at “This is Why We Collect” panel at Fanatics Fest in New York, Brady and Paul seemingly got into a heated discussion after the panel, and Brady pulled his hand out of his pocket and slapped Paul with the strength of a high school performer on West Side Story. Paul later claimed on X that he was “roasting Tom for beating him in flag football” and Brady tried to “smack” him on stage. Now, if the story ended here, it would seem more believable that maybe Brady lost it and slapped Paul. But their feud continued online with Brady promising to fight Paul again. “I tried America… will try again next time I see this nerd,” he posted, later calling him a “dork.”
So, what are Paul and Brady trying to build up to? It might be a new WWE storyline featuring a retired football player fighting a YouTuber-turned energy drink business owner. “I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix,” Brady shared on a podcast on Thursday, one day before the slap. “I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete. My boy [Rob Gronkowski’s] done it. I’ve seen, obviously, Logan Paul do it. I think I could get in there for at least one match, right?” If Jake Paul can fight Mike Tyson, why can’t Logan Paul fight Tom Brady? Sure, let them duke it out in fun, little outfits and taglines, but why do all of this song and dance of a fake slap at a panel about collecting sports memorabilia? Just send them both in as heels, it’s what they both want to be anyway.
